After upgrade to 8.6.5 (EE) LDAP/AD integration is not working properly (error in production)

Created by: chrsve

Yesterday we upgraded from version 8.5.7 to to version 8.6.5 (EE). After the upgrade all users that were assigned group rights through LDAP/AD integration lost their rights. Users with explicit project rights can still access their projects. When checking the groups page in admin the AD users are not there anymore. The users can be seen under Users in admin as users without any project assignment. I have tried removing the LDAP group sync from a specific group admin page and adding it again (the AD can be searched and a new group link added).

To me there are no visible errors. The ldap_sync jobs are running (I have also triggered them manually). I see no errors in the sidekiq.log. I see no errors in the application.log.

Completely lost here. The next step is to start adding users manually/explicitly to all projects and assigning rights...
