Error 500 on files view

I upgraded from 2.1 or something to 2.5 and now 2.6 and while the git stuff works, the frontend can't browse the files.
This is different from the Markdown-related error 500 because it also happens on repositories without markdown files.
Any idea on how to troubleshoot? There's no log entry related to the problem in the nginx's error log...
