Custom Fields in Issues

Created by: IsNull

[Feature-Request]

The Issues are a great thing, and due the support for Labels, Issues can be used for much more than just bug reports - as here, they can also be used for feature requests.

It would be very cool, if the Issues can be used to fully manage new requirements. Basically using a custom Feature-Tag for Features is a good start, which is already possible. However, I need some additional Information stored in the Issues; +Who was the origin of the request +Whats the expected cost/effort for this new feature +...

All these Informations should also be accessible over the API. (I think Issues are currently not supported by the API but I expect them soon :-P ) Edit: The issues are now supported in the API.

As you can see, this is very specific to my use case. If you would allow to define custom fields (in the Project-Admin Panel), the Issues can be customized easily.
