Turn off emails? Or some emails?

Hello,
Is there a way to turn off some of the emails (mainly the you've been granted access to xxxxx project). I have a few hundred projects and if I add a new person they get like 500 emails.
Plus they are really annoying considering there is nothing in that particular email of any value.
