Keys not added to conf/gitolite.conf (only repository)

I just migrated to Gitolite and the latest master. I also ran the gitolite rebuild scripts, so my conf is up-to-date.
When I now create a new project, the project is added to gitlab and gitolite, but there's only this line in the config:
repo my_projectThere are not permissions granted at-all. Running the rebuild script fixes the issue.
Is this an issue on my part, or is there a bug in Gitlab here?
