Users should get there own namespace within url.

I'm sure this has probably been discussed before but a quick search doesn't reveal any issue.
One major piece of functionality that I believe is currently missing form Gitlab is the ability for users to get there own namespace within a url. eg; Urls should be http://domain/user/project as they are within Github.
This opens up much more flexibility than the current approach as it allows users to have there own forks of projects.
Is this on the cards?
