Feature Request: Branch Based Access Control

Gitolite provides branch based ACLs out of the box. It would be nice to see Gitlab put that feature in action. Large corporations love fine grained control which is probably also why Github is not a good fit for them. If Gitlab is able to to put branch based ACLs into action I bet its uptake would grow significantly.
