Commit details not shown

Created by: elvanja

When viewing details for a commit, I am redirected back to commits. E.g. when on page http://gitlab.local/project/commits/master, the commits are displayed correctly:

commits

But, when I select a single commit instead of showing the details, I get the list of commits from that point onward:

commit

The only related thing I've found is this unicorn std error log: unknown header 'encoding' in commit e58c5a4bf5bb39d50f5ffa2058075ff06c868092 (repeats for all the commits) This log message is present both for commits and a single commit page views.

I've tried re-installing the charlock gem as mentioned in trouble shooting wiki page. I've used yum packages and source code directly, but without effect. The gem is always installed without exceptions, but the commit details page is just not accessible.

Applies to both v3.1 and v4. (both stable).
