Problems with install instructions

Created by: crazyscience

I've installed GitLab 3 times (Ubuntu. Following the installation instructions each time, with the same results. The following issues:

--Checking Sidekiq ...Running? ... no --Init script up-to-date? ... no --Any pull/clone/push operation results in "fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly"

If there is something that I needed to do differently from what was defined in the installation instructions, it needs to be added into the instructions. So, the question is: What's wrong with the document? How can we fix it? What information do you need from me to determine what the issue is? (I'm not a dev on this project)

I'm glad to help in any way than I can.
