gitlab 5.2 - diff tab in merge request does not work from first try

How to reproduce:
Commit
create merge request
click "diff"
** shows loading icon
** after loading show empty tab. clicking back to "discussion" and back to "diff" does not help.
while in "diff" tab refresh page
** shows diffexpected: to see diff results panel after ajax call finished
