Dashboard home doesn't show activities

I've updated Gitlab from 5.1 to 5.2 and the dashboard home doesn't show the recent activity. The project and user pages show it without problems.
gitlab/log/production.log doesn't show anything odd.
Any ideas? Where to start looking?
