Closed issues don't appear on dashboard

Steps to reproduce:
- Go to http://demo.gitlabhq.com/gitlab/gitlabhq/issues
- Select one or more issues
- Change status to closed (Don't press the close button)
Expected behavior
- There is a message on the dashboard that the selected issues are closed
Observed behavior
- There is no message on the dashboard that the selected issues are closed
This issue also applies for closed issues which you want to reopen. Running on 5.3.0 148eade9
