Unable to create new group project as Owner in GitLab 6.0

The creator of the group sees an option for "Namespace" when creating a new repository, however, my user has been given owner privileges to the group and I cannot see the "Namespace" option. The only way I can make a repo part of the group is by transferring ownership after creating the repo. I think I should see the "Namespace" option. Can you please confirm this is correct?
