502 bad gateway

Created by: ReidWeb

I followed the installation precisely. However when I try to load my gitlab login page at gitlab.example.com, I get a '502 bad gateway' error from Nginx. When i change the URL I'm attempting to load from gitlab.example.com/users/sign_in to something like gitlab.example.com/rdfghjjkm it returns the gitlab 404 page fine.

I've run the tests in the install guides, and nothing returns negative.

Any advice would be appreciated, i'll provide any data required to debug
