Disabling Edit Button

Hi,
I was wondering which has the layout of the edit button in gitlab. This edit button is visible in the web interface when someone is viewing any file and wishes to edit it in order to make some changes to commit code. I want to be able to gray out the edit button so it is not clickable. However, I cannot the specific file after looking in looking through the Gitlab app directory that has/contains views.
