Gitlab API for adding Tickets/Issues, etc?

Hi there,

I was wondering if there is a Gitlab API or maybe if one could be added for creating issues? My main reason for wanting this is to keep a local copy of my tickets/issues copied from CodebaseHQ.

Would this be a possibility?
