Unable to unassign issues en masse

A bit like #6431 (closed), but not fixed in v6.6.5.
Summary: Unable to unassign issues en masse
Steps to reproduce:
- Have couple tasks assigned to you
- Have proper rights (master for example) to unassign tasks
- Tick issues you wish to unassign at the project issues main page
- Select (unassigned) from the Assignee drop down.
- Click Update Issues button
Expected outcome:
- Tasks become unassigned
Observed behavior:
- Issues stay assigned
