The changelog for v6.8.0 contains a reference to this but I cannot find any documentation in the example config file. Could someone please explain how I can disable the standard login functionality?

It depends if you have upgraded from an old version or installed the newest Gitlab from scratch.

The option can be found inside the example config file

1. If you upgraded Gitlab you need to add this line to your config file

2. If you installed it right away you just need to remove the comment of this line

Note: If you disable "Standard Login" you should also disable the "Sign Up" option here
