VHDL syntax highlighting not working

Syntax highlighting of .vhd files does not work. I tried changing /home/git/gitlab/vendor/bundle/ruby/2./gems/gitlab-linguist-3./lib/linguist/languages.yml to include .vhd, but it doesn't work. Confirmed on both gitlab 6.9.2 and 7.0.0.
