CI builds for test merges of merge requests

GitHub creates refs/pull/#PullRequestNumber/merge. GitLab doesn't create a reference in the target repository.

We are currently evaluating a switch from GitHub to GitLab.

With GitHub, we build the test merge of all our pull requests. Note we do not care about building the source branch as is, we want to build the result of the merge from the source branch to the target branch. In GitHub we can do this by building refs/pull/123/merge. This is vital to our workflow and ensures that we never have a broken master.

Is there currently a way to do this with GitLab? If not, are there any plans to support it?
