Pasting an image doesn't work

With reference to: Fix for copy-pasting formatted text to markdown area #7082 and this comment
I tried it on Chrome 36 and Gitlab 7.1, pasting image into issues directly doesn't work - it doesn't throw any error either?
Am I doing anything wrong?
