Hi guys,

I have successfully installed gitlab 2.4 on a fresh and clean linux system (Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS), following your wiki.

Everything work really fine, unless the gitlab script...

I'm able to start it manually but if I restart the system nginx runs fine but show a 502 bad gateway page, because the gitlab service is not started.

Then... if I run the script manually with: sudo /etc/init.d/gitlab start the service start and everything work.

So... what I think it's that the script doesn't start because is not registered, due to this command: sudo insserv gitlab

When I tried to run this I receive a lot of warning messages saying something about scripts converted to upstart, and in the end: insserv: exiting now without changing boot order!

So could you guys have a look at the startup script? It seems to me that it is incompatible due to the dependencies to other script that are now converted to upstart. Is there a way to make gitlab start when the machine reboot?
