Search through blobs too

Search through blobs too

Created by: stigkj

It would be great to be able to search through the committed content too, that is, the blobs and not just the commit info. Do not want to install OpenGrok or something like it to get this feature.

How is this not a priority? This should be an elementary feature - even gitweb with its few functions had this implemented since its early days. Same goes for #1951

I recommend this issue be closed and feedback provided at http://feedback.gitlab.com/forums/176466-general/suggestions/3774012-improve-search-search-comments-in-issues-and-show where feature requests are supposed to be posted.

I think this can be a piece of cake now to implement with my little contribution to grit here -> https://github.com/mojombo/grit/pull/164 Please evaluate that? Cheers!
