gitlab update not working for ubuntu 14.04

Hi,
I have installed gitlab ce 7.7.2 on Ubuntu 14.04 server and not able update it to 7.8 using https://github.com/gitlabhq/gitlabhq/blob/master/doc/update/7.7-to-7.8.md
can anyone verify the same.
