Api unable to GET /api/v3/projects/ by project group/name

Getting 404 when trying call this sample url: http://127.0.0.1:8080/api/v3/projects/mygroup%2Fmyproject?private_token=MY_TOKEN&sudo=1
404 is comming from apache, not gitlab's error page or error in json. Without %2F at ID parameter is request handled by gitlab
