Gitlab - omnibus install on ubuntu 14.04 - LDAP/ AD auth results in 404

I am trying to get LDAP auth working with AD (my current Gitlab 6.5 server works perfectly with AD). I have the same config but keep getting 404 error. The users are getting created in Gitlab. I currently don't have any groups or projects defined. I don't see any error in the logs
