Deleting deploy keys results in Gitolite Error page

I'm having repeatedly a problem when trying to delete project deploy keys. It always results in the gitolite error page be shown. Creating keys however works fine. I'm also having this problem frequently when trying to create a new repository. I suspect it's a timeout issue... But better logging and better error handling (e.g. what EXACTLY went wrong) is a must - I have to be able to delete the keys somehow...
