I had trouble with this on

    lsb_release -a

    No LSB modules are available.
    Distributor ID: Ubuntu
    Description: Ubuntu 13.04
    Release: 13.04
    Codename: raring

    The solution was this http://askubuntu.com/questions/331608/installing-postgres-removes-rabbitmq-and-vice-versa-how-to-make-both-stay/337869#337869

Thanks for pointing that out @williscool . Do I understand correctly that this happens only when installing postgres from apt.postgresql.org instead of the postgres that comes with Ubuntu 13.04?

@jacobvosmaer I think so but don't quote me on that though.

All I ended up doing was a manual dpkg -i of logrotate 3.7.8 from the package list here
