Added some little details to Git from source and Ruby from source. git --version returning -bash: /usr/bin/git: No Such File or Directory due to "apt-get remove git-core" not removing the alias. and I can't remember why I had similar troubles with ruby but just checking to see if the version number is correct would help avoid confusion.
