responsive side-by-side diff for wide screens

This is CSS-based solution of #7277. Problem is I'm total noob in ruby and wasn't able to start and test it locally.
CSS changes were tested via direct change in web console. So please confirm it works as expected. Sorry for such a low-quality PR :(.
